Acción de Gracias/Thanksgiving is a day of mixed emotions for me. This is my bad time of the year health wise. The falling leaves are spreading mold spores and what is left of my lungs cannot handle the constant weather changes in combination with mold.
I have spent many Thanksgiving days in the hospital hooked up to IVs and oxygen masks. It's not a happy time. I miss my family and the delicious food and memories shared.
No sé lo que traerá este año. Espero salud y felicidad para todos y cada uno de nosotros.
Abrazos fuertes,
Monica

Reflexión
This was the first time I didn't spend Thanksgiving con mi hija. It was sad. I missed her. She had a Friendsgiving in Chicago. I am blessed to have have had her by my side for all of her life. Things change. I don't like change, but it is a part of life...
I am grateful for good health, family, friends, and a roof over my head. I hope Christmas at my house will be as delicious as Thanksgiving was at my brother's.
Abrazos,
Monica

Daylight Savings Time
I love the time of the year when we turn our clocks back. The sun is so pretty in the morning and it gets dark around the time I'm getting ready for bed. The world is on my time schedule. It feels fantastic!
I'm seeing a new rheumatologist at the beginning of 2015. She's supposed to be the best. There is actually a waiting list to become a new patient. I have to keep a symptom diary to share at my first appointment. Writing down every thing that is wrong with me is more difficult than I imagined. It is helpful because I am starting to see a pattern. I will be making serious changes soon.

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. I found a recipe for fat free pumpkin bread. I plan on making a loaf this week so I can test it out before I serve it to my family. I hope it's delicious. If it's not I have time to come up with a plan B.
xxoo,
Monica
