Election 2016

I am "fortunate" enough to live in the battleground state of Ohio. We get several visits from the candidates and non-stop political ads on television. I feel special... sort of.

What happens if the wrong candidate wins? It is a lot of pressure to decide the leader of the United States. There is still time to research each candidate. Vote for the best person. If you don't vote, you cannot complain!

Rant Time!

Invisible Disability ...

The looks I get when I park in a handicapped parking spot (with a valid, visible tag) need to stop. People have no idea how many nights I cry myself to sleep because of the pain.

There is a great group on Facebook called "But I Don't Look Sick". Members post memories, experiences, and all kinds of fabulous advice for those of us who don't LOOK sick.

I spend most of my evenings trying to figure out what to wear, what kind of makeup will cover up bruising best, and how to appear happy and healthy at work the next day.

I'm not asking for sympathy. We all have to deal with the cards we are dealt. I hope more people practice empathy.

Rant over.

Muchos abrazos,
Monica
