Makeup and skincare are a part of my daily morning routine. I find as I get older, my skin is getting drier. I get hormonal breakouts too.

Life after 40 is full of surprises. Many of them are great. I feel more comfortable and confident with myself. I don't feel like I need to please others. If someone doesn't like me, oh well!

I used to find reasons to be away from home. Now a perfect night in consists of a homemade  spa treatment, a good book, and an intriguing movie.

Great skincare can be muy caro. I am always looking for ways to save money on my favorite products. I download apps, carefully look through magazines, and visit Amazon daily. I'll be sharing my favorite beauty deals with you in 2018. If I'm happy and saving money, I want the same for you! The deals won't just be on makeup, I enjoy electronics, books, and pet products.

A Little More about Me...

I have discovered false eyelashes. I love them! It's amazing how a few dollars and big eyelashes can make me feel like a new person. I wish I would have tried them years ago!!

Product 19 cereal. Omgosh. My Dad used to eat this cereal when I was a little girl. One day I googled iron rich cereals and Product 19 came up. It has 100% of your daily iron. I've been eating it everyday for the past 2 weeks and I feel so much better. I knew I was severely anemic, but I didn't realize it was making me so grouchy and utterly exhausted. I will be buying iron rich cereals forever.

My boss still hates me, but I no longer care. I found out she hates almost everyone. What an unhappy miserable person she is. Ugh. I'm there for my students. I just close my door and do what's best for their benefit.

I gave up Facebook for Lent. Best decision ever! I don't miss the phony updates, drama, or annoying people. I do miss looking at most of the baby pictures some of my friends posted, but I'll be just fine. I also wasted so much time mindlessly staring at peoples pages. Maybe I'll go back when Lent is over, maybe I won't. Right now I'm enjoying the break. *By the way, M.E. you are so insecure and pitiful. Begging D to change his default picture back to one of the two of you was hilarious. You're such a sad girl.*

Last night I accidently sent a pic to the wrong number in my address book. I sent an innocent photo to Mike G instead of Mike P. Mike G kept texting me for the next hour about sending him naughty pics, even though I don't and won't do that sort of thing. It made me smile a little to know he was interested. Flattery will always get you points with me.

It feels great to be happy and healthy for a change!

Showing a Little Skin

Me encanta el clima de verano. Puedo usar todas mis camisetas sin mangas, sundresses y faldas cortas. En Ohio el clima puede cambiar rápidamente por lo que mi piel tiene que lucir siempre impecable.

A big part of my skin prep has always included Dove. Mi madre wouldn't buy anything else because her skin is so sensitive. When you grow up using one product line it's usually automatic to continue as an adult.

I begin my day using Dove bar soap. My skin is so dry I need all the moisture I can find. After getting out of the shower while my skin is still damp, I use Dove's Intensive Nourishing Lotion to seal in the moisture from the warm shower. If you have dry skin it's important to take a warm bath or shower. Hot water can actually cause your skin to dry out even more! No bueno.

After I get out of the bathroom I put on my deodorant. Dove is one of the few companies that makes a deodorant that does not get white marks all over your shirt. Grr, I hate that! Especially since I don't usually notice it until I'm walking into work. Ever try to get deodorant off of a black shirt? It doesn't work. Ever.


Estoy saliendo ahora, así que es súper importante que mi piel se ve suave y agradable al tacto. Me encanta dar y recibir un montón de abrazos. Nadie quiere abrazar a alguien que tiene la piel áspera. Los productos Dove me ayude a lucir bien. ¿Por qué me ha consumido alguna vez alguna otra cosa?
